- wbCOIN is the ERC-4626 wrapped version of bCOIN (Backed Coinbase Global), deployed across multiple chains. It wraps bCOIN into a standardized vault-share token to enable DeFi composability such as use as collateral in lending markets, automated strategies, and other yield protocols. Each wbCOIN represents a share claim on deposited bCOIN. Underlying real-world exposure, redemption mechanics, and reference price tracking are inherited from the underlying bCOIN token issued by Backed Finance. The wrapper does not rebase, so its share-to-underlying ratio grows as Backed's bToken adjusts its balance for dividends and corporate events, making it a total-return tracker rather than a price-parity tracker.
